Brothers of St Gabriel, Montfort Youth Training Centre, Sabah, Malaysia

The Brothers approached us to help produce a short production communicating their work among the youths in Sabah. The production is meant to communicate to stakeholders, the achievements and the value of the work the Brothers have committed to.

The Brothers set up this centre for the underpriviledged youths for Sabah. The centre takes care of about 180 boys providing them with full board, skills training and formation development. Within the grounds of this centre sits workshops for carpentary, motor mechanics, welding; classrooms; computer training facilities; chapel; cook house; dinning facilities; dormatories; and games facilities.

Filmed entirely on Panasonic HPX170, on 720/25pn format. This allows for a good balance between image quality and storage. The light camera weight allows the fliming to be done hand held. Perfect for the documentary approach of the project. The P2 format allows filming in all conditions without any worries about mechanical problems. The lens provided very respectable image control. Note that it is important to have a decent transfer and storage of the digital footage every evening after filming.
